She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ray Whitman and Virginia Whitman; her husband Norman; her sons, Norman, Jr. and Tony (Anthony Whitman Saunders); her siblings, Sandra Buckley (Larry), David Whitman (Ann) and Stuart Whitman (Beate); and her grandchildren, Johnathon, Savanna and Kaitlyn.
Before the Covid pandemic she always looked forward to treating family and friends to a special lunch each year at Captain John's Seafood at Cobb Island to celebrate both her birthday, February 15 and Valentine's Day, February 14.
