She was predeceased by: her husband James Carlton Rye; her parents, Thomas E. Bastain and Violet C. Bastain; and her sisters, Gay Miller, Anna Hancock and Betty Jean Bowie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Stonestreet (Paul) and Karina Colley (Rick); her grandson Daniel Stonestreet; and her brother Thomas Buddy Bastain. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations in her memory be made to the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department, 4260 Port Tobacco Rd, Nanjemoy, MD 20662.
