He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph R. Gaver and Mildred Baker Gaver; and his siblings, Bernard Gaver and Evelyn Venezky. He is survived by: his wife Doris E. Smith Gaver; his children, Lisa Burtner (Brad) and Kevin Gaver (Lisa); his granddaughters, Abby Dillon (Chris), Molly Yarrington (Shane) and Brittney Mercer; his great grandchildren, Reese, Ruby Dillon, Finley and Atticus Yarrington; his brother Donald Gaver (Cindy); his pets, Girlie and Buddy; his close friends, Jim Thompson and Don Harrington; and his caregivers, Anna and Trish.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery (12704 Wolfsville Rd, Smithsburg, MD 21783).
