He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McFarland and Mary Stoner McFarland; and his son Mehrle McFarland Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse Oneida McFarland; his daughters, Brenda Appel (Dan) of Knoxville and Tammy Offutt (Michael) of Falling Waters, WV; his grandchildren, Haley, Sam Appel, Mackenzie McFarland (Helen) and Tyler Offutt; his great grandchildren, Aveline and Millicent McFarland; and his siblings, Bill McFarland of Monrovia, Jim McFarland of Martinsburg, WV, David McFarland of Frederick, Eddie McFarland of Knoxville and Mary Custer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Church of the Brethren or to the funeral home.
