She was predeceased by: her father L. Albert Hemp. She is survived by: her mother L. Jean Hemp; her brother Donald Hemp (Susan); her nieces, Kristin Berney (Dustin), Megan Davis (Nick) and Shannon Hemp; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Carter Berney, Mackenzie Berney, Paisley Berney and Ryker Davis; and her former husbands, Mike Portner and Chuck Banks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois's name to Hospice of Frederick County, 1 Frederick Health Way, Frederick, MD 21701.
