The memory of Steven Douglas Eaton of Mount Savage, Maryland, who passed away on February 7, 2025 at the age of 65, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Eaton Sr. and Harriet J. Eaton (Lease); his brothers, James W. Eaton Jr. and Jeffrey A. Eaton; his parents-in-law, Jack and Arlene Cessna; and his brother-in-law John Cessna.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Eaton (Cessna); his siblings, Gary Eaton and Elizabeth "Beth" Kronenwetter (Jim); his siblings-in-law, Krista Eaton and Chuck Cessna (Jacque); his nephew Bret; his nieces, Sarah, Emily, Erica and Autumn; his goddaughter Taylor Buchanan; and also Toni Buchanan.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Durst Funeral Home (57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD 21532). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery (14205 Pleasant Valley Rd NE, Flintstone, MD 21530).
