It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Lawson Hamilton of Mount Airy, Maryland, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Ray, Jobe, Bailey and Judah; his father Jimmy Hamilton; and his brother Doug Hamilton (Sharon Hamilton).
He is survived by: his wife Amy Hamilton; his children, Matt Ritter (Jesse Ritter), Kate Mester (Jason Mester), Drew Ritter (Ashley Ritter), Lindsey Hamilton (Joey Kile), Annie Hamilton (Chase Winpigler), Jake Fisher (Brittany Fisher) and Ben Fisher; his grandchildren, Ryan, Mason, Maci, Madison, Ariana, Jackson, Carolina, Jeb, Judson, Beckley, Jesse, Avery, Cora, Harper and Henry Michael; his mother Doris Hamilton; and his sister Connie Stevens (late Eddie Stevens). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Airy Bible Church (16700 Old Frederick Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771).
