It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John A. Runion of Mount Airy, Maryland, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton B. Runion and Justina S. Runion of Keyser, WV.; his siblings, Guy Runion, Glen Rotruck and Ruth Housley; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Housley, Vaughn Broadwater and Michael Shillingburg II.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Runion; his sister Betty Forbeck (Douglas Forbeck) of Gettysburg, PA; and his stepdaughters, Debbie Troxler (Tommy) of Gaithersburg, MD and Sharon Shipe (Ralph) of New Market, MD. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Stauffer Funeral Home (1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702). A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
