He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Virginia Main Summers; his parents, Oscar Martin and Annie Elizabeth Hann Summers; and his siblings, Frances Main, Elwood Summers Sr., Robert Summers, Elsie Cole, Grace Schlesinger, Ruth Fisher, Annie Keeney, Mary Keeney, Oscar F. Summers and Gorman "Frank" Summers.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Eugene Summers of Taneytown and Larry Wayne Summers (Aimee) of Smithsburg; his grandchildren, James William Summers of Smithsburg and Elizabeth Victoria Summers of Smithsburg; and his sisters, Lydia Miller of Ijamsville, Evelyn Mossburg of Ijamsville, Phyllis Horman of Williamsport and Betty Hayward of St. Louis, Missouri.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
