She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Elijah Johnson and Eva Skipper Johnson; her husband Joseph Edward Merson; and her sister Bertha Molesworth. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna J. Mellin of Mount Airy and Debbie L. Cavey of Sykesville; her grandchildren, Shane Mellin (Jordan), Warren Mellin (Bridgette), Ryan Cavey and Jenny Cavey; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Abby and Charlie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
