Michael Edward McCabe Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2023, at the age of 86, Michael Edward McCabe of Montgomery Village, Maryland, born in Brooklyn, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Edward McCabe to pay them a last tribute.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Berget Nilsen and Thomas Francis McCabe; his wife Prudence McCabe; his children, Michael Edward McCabe, Jr. (Lois), Eric Daishin McCabe (Sara Siebert) and Nicole McCabe; his grandchildren, Harrison, Andrew, Kendric, Caitlyn, Cameron, Kyla and Malcolm; and his sibling Pat McCabe.
Retirement did not suit Michael, and he returned to NIST as a volunteer guest researcher in 2008, continuing in this role until the Covid shutdown in 2020, when he retired for good.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Main Street Connect, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit.
