He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lawson Hamilton and Lottie Mae Kendall Hamilton; his son Douglas H. Hamilton Sr.; and his son-in-law Eddie Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Doris Hamilton; his children, Connie Lushbaugh (Ronnie) of Frederick and Michael L. Hamilton (Amy) of Mt. Airy; his daughter-in-law Sharon Hamilton of Rocky Ridge; his grandchildren, Amy Smith (Tommy), Douglas Hamilton Jr., Lindsey Harrison (Tyler), Kevin Hamilton and Annie Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Lane, Charlotte and Austin Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Robert, Chris Weller and Edith Hamilton.
