It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobby E. Rakestraw of Monrovia, Maryland, born in Slaughters, Kentucky, who passed away on March 21, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin A. Rakestraw and Helen E. Rakestraw (Woods); his siblings, Christne Hill (Rakestraw), Donald Rakestraw and Joyce Collins (Rakestraw); his siblings-in-law, Edward Hill, Wayne Hale, Francis Collins and Brenda Rakestraw; and his pet Barney.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Rakestraw (Hammers); his children, Wendy Wilson (Rakestraw) of Frederick, MD and David Rakestraw of Pembroke Pines, FL.; his grandchildren, Craig Wilson, Jason Wilson, Rachel Wilson and Emily Wilson; his siblings, Eugene, Dorothy "Sissy" Hale, Merle Rakestraw, Jerry Rakestraw and Reva McConnell (Paul); and his nieces and nephews, Kathy Hale, Barry Hale, Tommy Hale, Robin Woodruff, Rhonda Gordon, Frankie Collins, Denise Baxter, Kimberly Evans and Jon McConnell.
