He was predeceased by : his parents, Llewellyn Dykes and Ruth Dykes (Miller); his granddaughters, Emma Murphy and Jennifer Troyer; and his siblings, Llewellyn Moore Dykes, Jr., Ruth Irene Scully and Fannie Gwendelyn Spongberg.
He is survived by : his wife Lucille Dykes; his children, Lowell "Mike" Nelson Dykes, Jr. (Mary Jane), Jason Goodwin (Jennifer), Lynne Mae Eyler (William) and Cheryl Denise Troyer (Steve); and his grandchildren, Laura Porrovicchio, Amy Dykes, Timmy Dykes, Steven Dykes, Stephen Troyer, Sarah Troyer, Ashley Troyer, Chance Troyer, Lily Troyer and Michael Troyer. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
