He was predeceased by: his parent Janet Clark Short. He is survived by: his father John H. Short Sr. (Christy) of Millington; his sons, John A. Short (Linda Steele) of Millington and Brian Short (Angie) of Chestertown; his grandchildren, Jonathan Short, Dustin Short and Courtney Short; and his children, Crystal Comegys (Chuckie), Brandon Secrist (Kryssi), Karen Secrist and Nickolas Kelkowski.
