With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Ellsworth Pettingall Jr. of Middletown, Maryland, born in Frederick, Maryland, who passed away on December 12, 2022 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wives, Frances Pettingall of Virginia and Josephine Derr; and his parents, Raymond Ellsworth Pettingall, Sr. and Nannie B. Pettingall (Wisner). He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia A. Pettingall, Carol L. O'Brien and Deborah Darlene Sisk (Micah); his granddaughter Kieron O'Brien; and his stepchildren, Donna L. Warner (Frank), William E. Derr (Barbara), J. Scott Derr and Roberta Leaverton (Bruce).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Pettingall's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 14 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Walkersville, MD 21793.
