It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Osborne Wachter Jr. of Middletown, Maryland, born in Jefferson, Maryland, who passed away on September 3, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Osborne F. Sr. Wachter and Ida Cornelia Smith Wachter; his son-in-law Frank Potts Jr.; his brother Donald Lee Wachter; and his siblings-in-law, Grace Wachter, Janice Hamlin, Ruth Shapard and Mike Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Smith Wachter; his children, Deborah Wachter, David Wachter (Pam) and Brian Wachter; his grandchildren, Rev. Nicole Wachter of Harrisburg, PA, Nathan Wachter (Mary) of Leesburg, VA, Craig Wachter (Aubrey), Jefferson and Rachel Wachter; his great grandchildren, John, James, Rowan and Brynn Wachter; and his siblings-in-law, Don Hamlin, Barbara Ohler, Doris Adkins (Woodie) of Cedarburg, WI, Ron Shapard and Vickie Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main St., Middletown.
