With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy (Smith) E. McCartney of Middletown, Maryland, born in New Market, Maryland, who passed away on August 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Smith and Mary Smith; and her siblings, Earl Smith Jr., Pauline Boone, Margaret Elliott, Merridy Deater, Sonny Smith, Barbara Main-Rossen and Jean Silvers.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell McCartney Jr. (Rhonda), Karen Disque (Ron) and Diane Gabry (Greg); her granddaughters, Monica (Rusty), Holly (Dillan) and Natalie (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Holley and Artemis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Frederick County.
