He is survived by: his spouse Celine Maureen Lietsch (Sally); his children, Michael James Grothe (Sara) of Rockville, Gloria Ann Vigder of Middletown and Marie Trista Martin (Jim) of Middletown; his grandchildren, Ryan Michael Grothe of York, PA, John Michael Grothe of Easton, Rachael Celine Cross (Darius) of Catonsville, Julianne Rose Grothe of Laurel and Joshua Craig Vigder of Alexandria, VA; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Alexander Cross and Emberly Rose Cross; and his siblings, Catherine Fisher (Kay) of Burlington, IA, Mark Grothe (Pete) of Burlington, IA, Leo Grothe (Sandra) and David Grothe (Barbara) of Bettendorf, IA.. He is also survived by his many dog and cat companions.
