He is survived by: his wife Sheila Mae Brumage (Taulton); his children, Jody Michael Brumage and Alison Michelle Brumage (Chris Choy); and his caregiver Ernie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Locust Valley Bible Church Cemetery (1323 Marker Rd, Middletown, MD 21769).

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Ernie's memory to be made to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Burkittsville, Maryland.
