He was predeceased by: his wife Geneva Alexander Palmer; and his parents, Harry Franklin and Harriett Genetta Palmer. He is survived by: his sons, Gerald C. Palmer (Sandra) of Frederick, John F. Palmer (Teresa) of Middletown, Nelson W. Palmer (Barbara) of Walkersville, Stephen R. Palmer (Cheryl) of Thurmont and James A. Palmer of Middletown; his grandchildren, Tim Palmer, Dawn Rosarius, Susan Palmer, Jeff Palmer, Ben Palmer, Amy Permenter, Neil Palmer and Brad Palmer; and his great grandchildren, Laura Palmer, Geneva Palmer, Eliza Palmer, Ivy Palmer, Connor Permenter, Andy Permenter, Avery Palmer and Ian Palmer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
