He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Sarah Smith (Bauer); his sister Alice Celozzi; and his pets, Sparkie and Chely.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Jacobs of Middle River, William G. Smith (Phyllis) of Essex and Leslie Sahady (Michael) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Stephanie Borkowicz (Patrick), Tyler-Stephen T. Sahady and Shelby Morgan Sahady; his great grandchild Sarah Kaden Borkowicz; his siblings, Phyllis Gilpin and Gary Smith; and his close friend Carole Sealover.
