He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sopel and Julia Sopel; and his son Stephen W. Sopel. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sopel; his children, Jennifer Eck (Brian) and Thomas Sopel; and his grandchildren, Joshua Eck and Brianna Eck. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
