Robert Slavin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Slavin of Middle River, Maryland, who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Slavin to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Joseph Slavin. He is survived by: his children, Jacob Slavin, Benjamin Slavin and Rebecca Slavin; his siblings, Thomas Slavin, Daniel Slavin (Parin), Paul Slavin (Susan) and Julia Slavin (John Arnholz); his grandchildren, Adaya, Leo and Ava; his wife Dr. Nancy Madden; and his mother Miriam Crohn Slavin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dr. Slavin's team will continue his work on tutoring including his plan to publicize his and others' proven tutoring programs to heal Covid learning losses, and recently launched a website, http://www.proventutoring.org, that provides details of each research-proven program.
He was Director of the Center for Research and Reform in Education at Johns Hopkins University and is a co-founder of the Success for All Foundation.
