It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Murphy of Middle River, Maryland, who passed away on June 18, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father George Reed; her husband Patrick Murphy; her son Gordon Sweringen; her brothers, Robert Reed, Charles Reed and George Reed; and her brother-in-law Bernie Eckert.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Sweringen (Cindy), Karen Gale (Jim) and Steven Murphy Sr. (Doris); her daughter-in-law Peggy Sweringen (Bob); her grandchildren, Heidi Bertrand (Jake), Kris Sweringen (Teresa), Steven Murphy Jr. (Crystal), Brett Sweringen (Jenna), Renee Eck (DJ), Matthew Murphy (Kimberly), Jessica Murphy, Alyssa Gale (Mike) and Taylor Gale (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Kristopher, Joseph, Blake, Kyleigh, Emma, Caelyn, Madalyn, Nicolas, Avery, Alton, Logan, Colson, Fin and Eli; her sister May Eckert; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Reed and Barbara Reed. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
