She was predeceased by: her parents, Alford Wynkoop and Alice Wynkoop; her husband Stephen Simpson; her son Wayne Simpson; and her siblings, Douglas Wynkoop, Donald Wynkoop, Ronald Wynkoop, Michael Wynkoop, Johnny Ott and Roma Bullock.

She is survived by: her son Christopher Simpson (Nikki) of Mechanicsville, MD; her brothers, Chipper Wynkoop (Judy) and Thomas Ott; and her grandsons, Austin "A. J." Simpson and Stephen Simpson.
