He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stephen Murphy Sr. and Diana Mary Murphy; and his siblings, Kathleen Pendleton and Gregory Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Murphy of McLean, VA and Ashley Murphy of Orlando, FL; and his siblings, Kevin Murphy of Edgewater, MD and Patricia Murphy of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
As a grateful recipient of organ donation, he became a Donate Life Ambassador for the Washington Regional Transplant Community.
