She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dennis Batts, Sr. and Pauline Dale Smith; and her brother Dennis Batts, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Wallace Burroughs, Sr.; her children, Eugene Wallace Burroughs, Jr. (Rhonda) of California, MD and Vicki Gay O'Reilly (Sean) of Mechanicsville, MD.; her siblings, Phil Batts (Janice) of Mechanicsville, MD, Kathy Snipes (Steve) of Rocky Mount, NC, Debra Winstead (Charles) of Rocky Mount, NC and Joe Batts (Tereca) of Clayton, NC.; her grandchildren, Brittany Zalesak (Gregory), Evan O'Reilly, Ian Burroughs and Tessa O'Reilly; and her great grandchild Charles Zalesak.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and/or Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
