She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Lawrence Yorkshire and Mary Agnes Yorkshire; her stepfather James Yorkshire; her husband John Wesley Jacobs; her sister Vivian Yorkshire Bonds; her granddaughters, Melissa Smith and Natasha McCray; and her great grandchild Mercardo Jones.
She is survived by: her cousins, Bernice King, Ann Briscoe, John Briscoe, Mary Owens and Mary Helen Nelson; her children, Cynthia McCray, Patricia Yorkshire, Jacqueline Somerville (Michael), Trudie Lynch and John Jacobs, Jr. (Adriana); her nephew Tyrone Yorkshire; her stepdaughter Mary Ann Milburn (James); her grandson Marc "TJ" Carter (Lindsay); her great grandchild Anesha Yorkshire; her cousin Judy Medley Johnson (Chris); her sisters, Peggy Yorkshire-Herbert (Jimmy) and Clara Tyson; her niece Shavone Murphy (Jason); her grandchildren, Yvette Yorkshire, Davisha Wade, Taquita Brooks of John, Demetrius Jacobs, Zekiha Jacobs, Lauren Jacobs, Jamesha Milburn, Taylor Martin, Tyra Johnson, Tristan Jones, Michael Somerville, II and Nicholas Somerville; her siblings-in-law, Catherine Richardson (Samuel) and James Bonds; her uncle Sam Yorkshire; her cousin Joseph Medley; her goddaughters, Diane Harris and Barbara Ann Berry; and her close friend Desales Woodland. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
