He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Goddard Gray and Josephine Quade Gray; his wife Dorothy Elizabeth Cooksey Gray; and his siblings, Lawrence Leroy Gray, James Leonard Gray, Francis Elmer Gray, Maude Adell Combs, Margaret Ann DeMarr, Lucy Ann Gray and Pearl Mae Crutchfield.
He is survived by: his children, Betty Ann Stone (Francis), Mary Jo VanMeter (Sonny), Jimmy Gray (Connie), Linda Bender (Jimmy), Debbie Radcliff (Robbie) and Roger Gray (Roxanna); and his siblings, Mary Josephine Farrell of Brandywine, MD and Billy Gray of St Leonard, MD.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
