He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosia "Rosie" Q. M. Somerville and William S. Herbert; his siblings, Paul Vincent Somerville, James "Jimmy" Somerville, William S. Herbert, Jr., Mary Armstrong, Betty Bray and Dorothy Bush; and his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Jones, Deborah Brooks and Joseph "Junior" Briscoe.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Briscoe; his children, Terry Cutchember, Joseph Somerville, Jr., Wayne Somerville, Kevin Darryl Somerville and Rodney Somerville (Christina); his sisters, Margie Armstrong, Helena Holt and Barbara Whalen (Spencer); and his siblings-in-law, Imogene Somerville, Valeria "Tootie" Somerville and Joseph "Moe" Jones. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, God children, cousins, and friends.
