He is survived by: his wife Emily Owens; his children, Joseph Owens, Jr. (Marty), Rose Owens of Lexington Park, MD, William Owens, Sr. (Christine) of Mechanicsville, MD, Barbara Owens of Mechanicsville, MD, Michael Owens (Lisa) of Mechanicsville, MD and Kelly Potter (Kenny) of Charlottesville, VA.; his sisters, Alberta Ridgel and Janice Ivancik; his grandchildren, Christina Stone, Lisa Ridosh, Joshua Phipps, Joseph Owens III, Maurice Owens, Jr., Heather Tyer, Michael Owens, Jr., Ashley Evans, Dylan Potter, Kyle Potter, Anthony Owens, Blake Owens and Bryce Owens; and his great grandchildren, Kaleigh Stone, Aiden Owens, Joshua Phipps, Olivia Owens, Riley Phipps, Ezra Tyer, Camden Owens, Blake Phipps and Brayden Ridosh.
