We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2020, at the age of 84, Joseph David Baker (Mechanicsville, Maryland), born in Chaptico, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Baker and Eleanor Baker; and his siblings, James Melvin (Eva), Robert Q. (Pauline), Eliza, George F. (Louise), Edythe Bush (Phillip), Martha Carroll (Jim), William M. (Hannelore) and Thomas M. (Callie).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lorraine Thomas; his children, Michael (Renee), David, Steven (Leticia) and Charlynn Goode (Jerome); his brother John Bush; his grandchildren, Melanie Sarita (Rafael), Keenan Flowers, Kendra Baker, Ryan Baker and Carlos Baker (CJ); and his great grandchildren, Jaiden Sarita, Joshua Sarita and Nova Baker. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members, as well as special friends.

Service is private because of current COVID restrictions.
