She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Edward Wathen and Martha Gertrude Wathen (Pilkerton); her spouse Thomas Alvin Murphy; her daughter Debra Murphy; her grandson Johnny Vallandingham; and her siblings, Junior Wathen, Jerry Wathen and Gertrude Jameson.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Murphy (Julie) of Pomfret, MD, Joan Holben (Ed) of Texas, Bobby Murphy (Christine) of Leonardtown, MD, Lois Murphy of Mechanicsville, MD, Lewis Murphy (Betty) of Mechanicsville, MD, Donald "Freddie" Murphy (Sherry) of Mechanicsville, MD, Evelyn Muenzel (Frank) of California, MD, Billy Murphy of Texas and Roger Murphy (Carol) of Hollywood, MD.; and her brother Robert Vernon Wathen. She is also survived by her children, 17 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
