It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gertrude Mary Saunders of Mechanicsville, Maryland, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Milans Sr. and Marie M.; her husband Rudolph J. Saunders; her son Rudolph J. "Rudy" Saunders (Clara); her grandson Kenneth Saunders; and her siblings, Lillian Lyon, William B. Milans Jr. and Marie Reilly.
She is survived by: her daughter Carol A. Stanley (Steve); her daughter-in-law Clara Saunders; her sister-in-law Lois Milans; and her grandchildren, Lisa Santiago (Jermaine), Timothy Saunders (Lisa) and Kathleen Caywood (Sean). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a charity that was very close to her heart, on behalf of Colton Caywood.
