She was predeceased by: her parents, Octavia Nora White Kennedy (John G. Fenwick, Sr.) and Louis Edward Kennedy Sr.; and her siblings, Marie Biviens, Lucy Bradshaw and Robert Kennedy.

She is survived by: her children, John, Jr., Deborah, James (Violet), Anthony (Lisha), Kevin and Barbara; her siblings, Delores, Edward (Marie), Kemit, Richard (Sandra), Ralph and Howard (Lorraine); her stepsister Ida Harris; her grandchildren, Dontae, Marcus, Kisha, Ebony, LaShawn, Raymond, Chucky, Shannon, Anthony Jr., Sterlin, Kevin Jr., Tyshirra, Mario, Kilisa, Carlos, Kimberleigh and Johnathon; and her friends, Terri McKoy and Michelle Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
