He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Meadows and Geraldine Meadows (Taylor); his grandmother Dora Taylor; his sons, Ronald Jr. and Rodney Meadows; and his granddaughter Ronette.
He is survived by : his wife Melva Meadows (Cheeks); his children, Demetrice (Orlando) and Donnell (Allyson); his sister Sheila; and his grandchildren, Ronald III, Randy, Janet, Khadijah, Lailona, Akari, Nolan, London, Olivia, Owen, Sydney and Shane. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
