He is survived by: his wife V. Jean Gardner of Grantsville, MD; his daughter-in-law Sophia Gardner of Murrysville, PA; his sister Nancy Hittie of Berlin, PA; his granddaughter Sarah Kennedy (Thaddeus); and his great grandchildren, Nora and Olen Kennedy.
