He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hugh and Marguerite V. McCoole (Willis); his wife Debbie Ann McCoole (Smith); and his son Christopher McCoole. He is survived by: his son Ronald McCoole, Jr.; his stepchildren, Tonya VanMeter and Leslie VanMeter, Jr.; his grandson Nike VanMeter; and his siblings, James McCoole, Glidden McCoole (Jeannie), Beverly Hyre, Karen Escalante (Eddie) and Brenda Daigle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
