He was predeceased by : his parent Virginia Elmiria Kauffman (Howell); his sister Angela Kauffman; his grandparents, Evered Kauffman, Ruth Kauffman and Helen Selby; his aunt Shirley Smith; and his uncles, Richard Kauffman, Rick Martz and Bill Graver, Sr..

He is survived by : his parent Gene Edward Kauffman, Sr.; his wife Carol Kauffman; his aunts and uncles, Sharon Martz, Tina Gossard, John Kauffman, Stanley Mitchell, Mark Smith and Gary Gossard; and his significant other Daisy Mae.
