She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Floyd Shafer and Nettie M. Shafer (Kline); and her sisters, Dorothy Hess, Mary Louise Harshman, Lois Valentine and Eleanor Young.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Norman Cosner Sr.; her children, Deborah Sue Smith of Maugansville, MD, Lisa Diann Browning (Terry) of Hagerstown, MD, Arthur Norman Cosner Jr. (Cindy) of Williamsport, MD and William Eugene Cosner of Falling Waters, WV; her sister Barbara Sue Cordell (John); her grandchildren, Artie Cosner III (Kelly), Tyler Smith (Shaena), Carissa Gipe (David) and Aaron Browning (Lauren); and her great grandchildren, Maddie, Laken Cosner, Sebastian, Hailee Browning, Savannah, Kai and Remy Gipe.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren (14904 Orchard Ridge Rd, Hancock, MD 21750).
