It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon James Tormey Sr. (Marydel, Maryland), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 19, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Tormey and Helen M. Tormey (Callahan); and his sisters, Winifred Tormey and Barbara Tormey. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ann Tormey; his children, James Tormey Jr. (late Suzanne), Erin Irwin (Stephen), Colleen Markham (Steven) and Chris Tormey (Amy); his grandchildren, Jay, Matthew, Sean, Megan, Luke, Riley, Kelly, Elizabeth, Jack and Patrick; and his great grandchildren, Giovanni, Callan and Shea.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Sunday Breakfast Mission of Wilmington, DE.
