With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Constance Schepens (Marydel, Maryland), born in New York, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Conrad Guthorn and Viola Guthorn; her siblings, Robert and Viola; her sons, Bruce and Dave; and her granddaughters, Kara and Lynn.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara (Tom); and also, Cissy, Mike, Brian, Pat, Brandi, Laura, Clare, Justin, Chrissi, Erika, Bradley, Ellie, Nick and Meredith.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Marydel Fire Company Station 56 (110 Firehouse Ln, Marydel, DE 19964). A Mass will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (522 Main St, Marydel, MD 21649). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude Hospital for Children.
