She was predeceased by: her parent Bigie Smith; her siblings, Fred Smith, Emitt Smith, Virginia Tankersley, Una Faye Rogers and Bertha Rogers; her former husbands, Matt James Johnson and Harmie Hurd; and her grandchildren, Kristy Johnson, Rachel Lindsey, Schavon Boyd and Samuel Johnson.

She is survived by: her parent Lucenda Seymore Smith; her children, Loretta Johnson (Elmer), Loran Johnson (Hope Johnson) of Bulls Gap, TN, Lynn Johnson (Joyce Johnson) of Westminster, MD and Lucille Johnson Green (Ronald); and her stepdaughter Rosa Riffey Gosnell (Robert Gosnell) of Sykesville, MD. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
