She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry "Bud" Byrd and Mary Ellen Blue-Byrd; and her brother Richard Taylor. She is survived by: her husband Dale Turpin; her sons, Derrell Turpin (Shayla) and Derrick Turpin; her grandchildren, Dale, D'Meir, Da'Karai, Cayia and Christian; and her sisters, Emma Blue, Inez Byrd, Lisa Byrd, Carolyn Williams-Jackson and Ella Taylor. She is also survived by nephews and nieces; two special friends.
