She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony Evans, Sr.; her grandson Justin DeJarnette; her mother Willie Mae DeJarnette-Nolan; her sister Deborah Harrison; and her children, Valerie Evans-Williams and Anthony Evans, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Christopher DeJarnette (Carol), Charles DeJarnette (Angela), Alexander DeJarnette, Sr., Kenneth Evans (Denise), William Evans, Lillian Ward (Howard, Jr.), Cassandra Evans and Crystal Jackson (Anthony, Sr.); and her brother Alvin DeJarnette (Callista). She is also survived by 30 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
