With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane D. Smith of Marion Station, Maryland, born in Deadwood, South Dakota, who passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank D. Smith and Mary Louise Tunnell Smith; his sister Norma Marusak; and his in-laws, Vernon and Frances Evans.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Evans Smith; his stepdaughter Leah Jerez; his stepgrandsons, Michael and Joshua Thomas; his siblings, Monte Smith (Sharman) of Colorado, Kathy Rasberry, Becky Fuller (Randy) of Georgia and Donna Cavaness; and his nephew Eric Evans. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crisfield Wesleyan Church, 3067 Lawsonia Road, Crisfield, MD 21817.
