He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Dewdney and Louise Dewdney (Sumpter). He is survived by: his wife Betty Dewdney of Mardela Springs; his children, Vivian Dewdney, Geneva Gattis, Cynthia Jones, Edward, Deborah and Monique Dewdney; and his siblings, Gerald Dewdney (Norma), Clara Timmons (Walter), Terry Dewdney (Kay), Betty Young and Dorothy Dewdney. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren.
