With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Valerie Lynn Overton of Mardela Springs, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father Lance D Cook; and her grandparents, Donna, Roy Salyards, Audrey Cook and Jay Cook.

She is survived by: her mother Terri J Rivero; her husband Juan; her children, Joshua Overton and Kailey Overton (David); her grandson Jackson Messick; her brothers, Lance Cook and Alfonzo Rivero (Tabitha); her nieces, Lyla Cook, Ava Cook, Isabella Rivero and Arya Rivero; and her nephew Aiden Rivero. She is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
