He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis Truitt and Janice Naomi Hurley Truitt; and his brother William C. Truitt. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Truitt of Mardela Springs; his children, Charles Lewis Truitt III, Amber Owens (Sara) of Frederick, Courtney Blackmire (Zach Ruark) of Sharptown, Anna Truitt of Mardela Springs, Jared Blackmire of New Jersey, Torey Truitt of Arizona and John Wesley Truitt, Jr. (Angela) of Mardela Springs; his grandchildren, Christopher Truitt of Salisbury, Casady Ruark of Sharptown, Skylar Truitt of Fruitland, Chloey Ruark of Sharptown, Kallista Truitt of Mardela Springs, Marllei Truitt of Mardela Springs and Tiley Truitt of Mardela Springs; his great grandchild Jeremy Ennis of Salisbury; and his brothers, Charles Lewis Truitt II of Mardela and Byron Truitt of Salisbury.
Interment will be private at Mardela Springs Cemetery. Due to the current pandemic, social distancing and face masks will be required at all times.
